John J. Parman is a writer and editor, based in Berkeley and San Francisco. He founded the award-winning journal Design Book Review (1983-2002) with Elizabeth (Laurie) Snowden and Richard Ingersoll. He is an editorial adviser to Architect's Newspaper and a founding editor of TraceSF. He also writes for Arcade, ArcCA, and other publications, and serves on the project review committee at SPUR.
